Such a shame.

On Wednesday we are going to Greece for a few days.

I desperately want to swan around wearing variations on this:

But unfortunately will probably end up looking more like this.

In my day dreams I am so stylish. This rarely never translates to how I actually look. Not that I look completely dire... I am presentable in a my-clothes-are-clean-and-fairly-innocuous kind of way, just not up there with Sienna, Giselle, or any of those other lovely ladies who can put it together. "Fashion Forward" is a term that neither I, nor my well-travelled polarfleece, are familiar with.

Dress, sandals, headband by Naomi.

Ahh that dress is stunning! Ju, stop being so self-depreciating in your blog posts. We love you for a reason! You have been warned!

I always look at people dolled up the nines when travelling and laugh at them - who wants to be that high maintenance when you're on holiday?

ps: If it makes you feel any better, I bought some Gladiator sandals last year and they are hell uncomfortable to wear. Stick with dress jandals ;-)

I second that. While i love the idea that I would look amazing in my fluttery dress and adorable sandals, all of my pics from my trip to New Zealand have me in practical tennis shoes and a too long skirt, looking a little lumpy. I seriously don't know what happens between when I leave the store and when I put things on.

Still, there is nothing funnier to me than watching some girl wince in pain because she chose the wrong shoes to go sightseeing. Meanwhile her man is three steps ahead of her begging her to hurry up.

Have tons of fun.

I say buy the dress and pack the sneakers. The dress is gorgeous!

I just purchased a lemon yellow sundress today to impress the Hoobs' family with at the hometown celebration his mom is planning for us. It's very bold for me, I hope I can pull it off.

Greece!?! So. Very. Jealous. Please take (and share) photos.

I'm so with you on this! I have this same problem 100%. But, the good news is that you are probably a lot more stylish than you think... I think it's one of those things like looks -- good looking people rarely think that they are good looking, you know?

Either way, I'm sure Greece will be a blast -- but I know it's HOT this time of year so be prepared (my grandmother and extended family live over there!) -- where are you going?

Have fun. And take lots of pics! xoxo.

I am very much the same way... I often wish I could dress myself the way I envision looking in my mind. Oh well! Wearing something comfortable and effortless can be chic too- right? Have fun on your trip!!
